[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jun-yi] A public opinion poll released on the 3rd showed that positive evaluations of President Yoon Seok-yeol's administration fell back into the low 30% range after four weeks. It appears that the controversy over his use of profanity during last month's overseas trip had an impact.

According to a survey conducted by Realmeter on behalf of Media Tribune from the 26th to the 30th of last month, targeting 2,522 adults nationwide, positive evaluations of President Yoon's administration were recorded at 31.2% (17.4% very well, 13.8% fairly well), while negative evaluations were 66% (59.9% very poorly, 6.1% fairly poorly).

Compared to the previous week, positive evaluations dropped by 3.4 percentage points (34.6% → 31.2%), and negative evaluations rose by 3.8 percentage points (62.2% → 66%).

After showing a positive trend in the 5th week of August (32.3% → 32.6% → 34.4% → 34.6%), evaluations of the administration's performance entered a downward trend this week for the first time in four weeks.

Party support was recorded as follows: the Democratic Party of Korea increased by 1.1 percentage points from the 3rd week of September to 46.1%, the People Power Party decreased by 2.2 percentage points to 35.3%, and the Justice Party rose by 0.5 percentage points to 3.9%. Other parties fell by 0.1 percentage points to 1.9%, and the non-affiliated group rose by 0.7 percentage points to 12.8%.

The margin of error for this survey is ±2.0 percentage points at a 95% confidence level. The survey was conducted via automated phone calls with 97% mobile and 3% landline, and the response rate was 4.4%.
