"Colorfully Like OTT" SKT 'Ifland' Regular Content Scheduling

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] SK Telecom announced on the 3rd that it will regularly schedule original content such as ▲metaverse live theater ▲karaoke ▲music shows ▲musicals ▲professor lectures on its metaverse (extended virtual world) platform 'ifland', presenting them daily from Monday to Sunday.

SKT organizes metaverse services that can be enjoyed like an online video service (OTT) based on metaverse original content at specific times every week.

First, the 'Metaverse Live Theater' will be held every Monday and Tuesday at 7 PM starting from the 3rd. The real-time metaverse play is a 16-episode original work titled ‘Nimam Naem Role Agency Corporation’, which questions the true meaning of family. This is the first time the entire play is presented live in the metaverse, in cooperation with the Korea Voice Actors Association.

'Avatar Singing Contest' is a karaoke communication program using song accompaniments owned by TJ Media, accepting participants on a first-come, first-served basis daily. It is held three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, operating three times a day: 10 AM ‘Housewives Singing Contest’, 5 PM ‘After School Singing Contest’, and 9 PM ‘Commute Singing Contest’.

'Empathy Healing Concert' features disabled artists who have won awards at the Korea Disabled Culture and Arts Awards and the Disabled Youth Arts Festival, showcasing high-quality performances such as Korean traditional music, folk songs, and instrument playing on ifland. It is held every Tuesday and Thursday at 9 PM.

'Dimaverse' is content created in collaboration between SKT and Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts targeting university students, held Monday through Friday at 4 PM. It includes 'Meta Dance Teacher' offering dance lessons and 'Positive and Negative', a heated debate among the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z).

Additionally, there are musical classes 'Joy Kim’s Musical Rookie Hotspot' with Professor Joy Kim from Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts and musical rookies, the 'Ham Chun-ho Show' featuring performances by Korean legendary artists, and professor lectures. Yang Maeng-seok, head of SKT Metaverse CO, said, “With this regular content scheduling, users will be able to enjoy interactive metaverse content such as metaverse plays, concerts, and lectures daily on ifland,” adding, “At the same time, various creators will independently present various content and gatherings, creating a virtuous cycle environment for content.”
