[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] Around 11:30 AM on the 2nd, a fire broke out at a semiconductor parts manufacturing plant located in Osan-si, Gyeonggi-do.
The fire department deployed 25 pieces of equipment, including pump trucks, and 61 personnel to extinguish the fire, completing the operation about 50 minutes after the fire started. There were no casualties, but the entire first-floor building, covering an area of 193㎡, was completely burned down.
The fire authorities reported that the factory was not in operation at the time and are investigating the detailed cause of the fire.
