[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyunjung] Friedrich Stapel, a farmer living in the rural village of Breb?rde in Lower Saxony, northern Germany, could hardly believe his eyes when he discovered a strange animal among his herd of cattle. A small wild boar was mixed in with the cows.

According to German news agency dpa and other foreign media on the 30th of last month (local time), Mr. Stapel found the wild boar among his grazing cattle three weeks ago.

He speculated that the baby wild boar had become separated while crossing a nearby river with its group.

The cows accepted the baby wild boar as part of their family without territorial behavior or bullying. The wild boar roams the fields playing with the herd and grazes on grass. Although Mr. Stapel knew that the wild boar was damaging his crops as well as eating grass, he did not chase the baby wild boar away. Instead, he named the wild boar "Frida" and asked local hunters not to shoot her.

When winter comes, Mr. Stapel plans to put Frida the wild boar in the pen with the mother cows.

In an interview with foreign media, he said, "It would be unfair to leave Frida alone now."
