‘Yeongdong-daero K-POP Concert’ Live on YouTube at 7 PM on the 2nd


[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The highlight of the ‘2022 Gangnam Festival,’ celebrating its 12th anniversary this year, the ‘Yeongdong-daero K-POP Concert,’ will be held on October 2nd at 7 PM on a special stage set up on Yeongdong-daero, and can also be watched live via Gangnam-gu Office’s YouTube channel on the same day.


The ‘Yeongdong-daero K-POP Concert’ is the largest-scale concert in Korea, held on a special stage created by closing off the 8-lane Yeongdong-daero road. Five representative K-pop artists of Korea, including Psy, Highlight, Chungha, The Boyz, and Weeekly, will perform dazzling stages.


In particular, Psy, a global artist celebrating the 10th anniversary of “Gangnam Style,” will heat up Yeongdong-daero by performing nine songs including “Gangnam Style” and “That That.”


Additionally, the spectacular performances of ‘Highlight,’ loved by domestic and international fans, the talented solo queen ‘Chungha,’ the global sensation ‘The Boyz,’ and the fresh and lively ‘Weeekly’ should not be missed.


Also, Tiffany, formerly of the group Girls’ Generation, and The Boyz’s Hyunjae will host the concert, showcasing their visual chemistry.


The concert will be live-streamed from 7 PM on the day via Gangnam-gu Office’s YouTube channel and SBS K-pop YouTube channel, so even those who cannot attend in person can enjoy the exciting stage through streaming.


Furthermore, it is scheduled to be broadcast on SBS at 12:30 AM on the 8th.


Jo Sung-myung, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, said, “I hope everyone enjoys this concert featuring Korea’s top K-pop artists,” and added, “Through the Gangnam Festival returning to an in-person event this time, we will do our best to develop Gangnam-gu into a world-class city that domestic and international tourists want to visit again.”
