To Focus on Educational Activities... Busan Office of Education Holds Launch Ceremony for Teacher Workload Reduction Task Force Busan Metropolitan Office of Education.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will hold the launching ceremony of the ‘Teacher Workload Reduction Task Force’ on the 4th at the Nongshim Hotel in Dongnae-gu to reduce teachers' workload.


The ‘Teacher Workload Reduction Task Force’ is established to create a support system focused on educational activities that allows all school members to concentrate on classes and educational activities by reducing teachers' workload to enhance the quality of student educational activities.


The task force consists of a total of 99 members, including an advisory committee, a field task discovery team, and a practical team from the education and support offices.


The advisory committee is composed of education experts affiliated with kindergartens, elementary, middle, and high schools, special schools, education policy research institutes, and personnel recommended by teacher organizations.


The field task discovery team includes vice principals, teachers, administrative office managers, and education and support office staff recommended by each education and support office.


The task force will carry out activities such as ▲ school site visit monitoring and satisfaction surveys ▲ analysis of school site support status by each metropolitan and provincial office of education ▲ operation of consultative bodies using academic research service data ▲ transfer of tasks from schools to education and support offices, aiming to develop practical measures for reducing and streamlining teachers' workload.


Park Ji-hoon, Director of Educational Innovation at the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, “The task force plans to focus on reducing teachers' workload through reorganizing teacher tasks and discovering tasks to be transferred to education and support offices.”
