Busan Area Students Participate in the 'National Disabled Students Jinro Dream Festival' Busan Metropolitan Office of Education.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Twelve students with disabilities enrolled in special classes at general high schools and special schools in Busan will participate in the "2024 National Students with Disabilities Jinro Dream Festival," held over three days starting from the 4th in the Ulsan area.

The Jinro Dream Festival is a competition hosted by the Ministry of Education and organized by the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education. It aims to enhance the efficiency of career and vocational education by providing students with disabilities opportunities to improve vocational skills and exchange information about vocational education.

To prevent COVID-19, the festival will be held twice, each event lasting 2 days and 1 night per category, with 203 students with developmental disabilities enrolled in special schools and special classes nationwide attending.

The event is divided into a "Vocational Skills Competition," consisting of six categories such as barista and office support, and "Career Experience Activities," including career experience booths, special experiences, and cultural experiences.

Busan students will participate in all six categories in the special school and special class divisions, including barista, product packaging, and food service.

Jung Dae-ho, Director of Secondary Education at the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, "The event will be a great opportunity for students with disabilities to improve their vocational skills and nurture their dreams toward independence," adding, "We will continue to provide unwavering support to enhance personalized vocational skills for students with disabilities."
