The 5th Community Social Security Plan Establishment Final Report Meeting Held
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Chunsu Kim] On the 29th, the Damyang-gun Community Security Council in Jeollanam-do announced on the 30th that it held the final report meeting and review session for the 5th term (2023~2026) Damyang-gun Community Security Plan establishment.
The Community Security Plan is a statutory plan under the Social Security Benefits Act, aimed at improving the welfare of local residents. It is a four-year mid-term basic plan encompassing community welfare demands and resources, as well as local government social security projects in areas such as welfare, health care, education, employment, housing, culture, and environment.
The 5th term Community Security Plan, with the goal of ‘Damyang, a Harmonious and Happy Rural Welfare,’ selected 9 development strategies, 8 representative tasks, and 46 detailed projects, including ▲strengthening the Damyang-type care system ▲secure and happy livelihood security ▲happy life with jobs ▲creating a healthy and safe environment ▲harmonious and happy cultural welfare.
The plan supplements the 4th term plan by reinforcing care and safety net establishment, and actively reflects cultural welfare and livelihood security areas, including the 8th term local government’s pledged projects.
County Governor Byeongno Lee said, “Since this is the result of long review and discussion processes, we will strive to ensure that a practical welfare plan is implemented over the next four years to develop Damyang’s harmonious and happy rural welfare.”
Meanwhile, to establish this Community Security Plan, a resident needs survey conducted last year served as the basis for holding public hearings and interim report meetings to gather diverse opinions from local residents and experts.
