Muan County Council, Closing of the 282nd 1st Regular Session


[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] The Jeonnam Muan County Council concluded the 1st regular session, which was held for 16 days from the 15th, with the 2nd plenary session on the 30th.


During this regular session, a total of 10 agenda items, including the 2022 administrative audit and the 2021 fiscal year consolidated settlement plan, were finalized.


In particular, the resolution opposing the approval of the medical waste incineration plant in Cheonggye-myeon, proposed by Councilor Jeong Eun-gyeong as the representative, was adopted unanimously.


In the 5-minute free speeches, Vice Chairman Lim Dong-hyun called for "measures to revitalize the local economy through the sports industry," Councilor Jeong Eun-gyeong urged "measures to enhance the effectiveness of national and provincial subsidy projects," and Councilor Lee Ho-seong advocated for "improving the treatment of social welfare facility workers."


Chairman Kim Kyung-hyun expressed gratitude, saying, "I thank my fellow councilors who devoted themselves to reviewing major agenda items and administrative audits, as well as the executive officials who diligently carried out their duties despite their busy schedules," and added, "I ask that the various opinions proposed during this session be actively and reasonably reviewed and reflected in county administration."


Meanwhile, the Muan County Council has formed a special committee to oppose the relocation of Gwangju Military Airport to Muan County, appointing Councilor Lee Ho-seong as chairman and Councilor Jeong Eun-gyeong as secretary, with the term lasting until June 30, 2024.
