[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The Gyeongnam Office of Education is holding a 'Visiting Regional Mock Interview Camp' for high school seniors in the province who applied for the 2023 academic year college admission early decision.


▲ The Western Region Mock Interview Camp will be held on October 1 at Jinju Jinyang High School ▲ the Eastern Region on the 8th at Gimhae Gimhae High School ▲ the Southern Region on the 15th at Geoje Geoje Sangmun High School ▲ and the Central Region on the 23rd at Changwon Towol High School.


The camp will operate from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., allowing students to choose the interview type that suits them, such as text-based interviews and in-depth confirmation interviews.


The provincial Office of Education stated that this mock interview camp was organized to help examinees prepare for interviews, which are considered difficult in the early decision comprehensive student record screening.


They plan to provide students with opportunities to gain practical experience tailored to the recruitment units of the universities they are applying to.


Interviewers consist of a university admission specialist committee and counselors from the Gyeongnam College Admission Information Center, who will independently develop and utilize mock interview questions by type.


The Office of Education plans to distribute a booklet to students participating in the interview camp, containing an understanding of the interview test, past questions from each university in the 2022 academic year, expected questions for 2023, and sample evaluation questions.


Hwang Heung-gwi, Director of Career Education, said, “We hope that high school seniors preparing for interviews, one of the university-specific tests in early decision, will use the mock interview camp as a stepping stone to successfully enter their desired universities and departments.” He added, “This camp will help relieve the burden of interviews and build confidence.”
