Sparrow Wraps Up Annual Customer Invitation Event 'PUC 2022'

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Sparrow successfully concluded the 'Power User Conference 2022 (PUC 2022)' held at Yangjae EL Tower on the 29th.

PUC 2022 is an event where Sparrow invites various clients to share trends, technologies, and cases related to application security testing. This year, under the theme 'The Only Way for Software Supply Chain Security,' Sparrow introduced major security issues along with its product strategies.

Jang Ilsu, CEO of Sparrow, emphasized the necessity of orchestration for application security. CEO Jang stated, "To strengthen security during the software development process, it is necessary not only to use appropriate application security tools at each stage but also to automate the entire process through orchestration."

He continued, "By utilizing Sparrow's application security tools such as SAST (Secure Coding), DAST (Web Vulnerability Diagnosis), and SCA (Open Source Management), analytical capabilities can be maximized throughout the entire process."

Senior Manager Yoon Jongwon of Sparrow introduced Integrated Sparrow and revealed the future product direction of Sparrow. Integrated Sparrow is a product that consolidates the individual solutions provided by Sparrow into one, reducing the burden of deployment, operation, and management, thereby facilitating easy realization of DevSecOps.

Manager Kim Sungwoon of Sparrow shared the current status of domestic and international open source usage and proposed open source management methods under the theme 'The Easiest Way to Manage Complex Open Source.' He also shared cases where major partners and clients such as GS ITM utilized Sparrow's secure coding and web vulnerability diagnosis solutions to implement DevSecOps in real-world environments. They commonly emphasized that diagnosing and managing software security weaknesses is essential to minimize vulnerabilities that may occur due to developer mistakes and during maintenance periods.
