[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Encar.com, the largest car trading platform in Korea, has opened the ‘Encar Comparative Quote Transaction Verification Center’ to provide customers with a transparent and trustworthy car selling service.
‘Encar Comparative Quote’ is a car selling service that allows customers to receive up to 30 real-time quotes within 48 hours. The Transaction Verification Center is a monitoring system where Encar directly verifies and manages whether the final transaction between the customer and the dealer during the Encar Comparative Quote process is fair.
Through the Transaction Verification Center, Encar has established a management system to comprehensively monitor the results of car selling transactions.
First, all dealers who transact with customers through Encar Comparative Quote must report the final transaction results to the Transaction Verification Center. Encar meticulously reviews all transaction details. In particular, if on-site depreciation occurs, the exact depreciation parts and reasons are checked, and the depreciation amount is also reviewed for appropriateness.
If fraudulent depreciation is suspected, a thorough investigation is conducted using the performance inspection record and a separate maintenance statement. If it is ultimately judged to be unfair depreciation, Encar compensates the customer directly for the unfair depreciation amount.
Meanwhile, Encar.com has already been strictly managing partner dealers by reviewing past transaction histories to provide a reliable car selling service. Additionally, to prevent dealers from presenting false quotes to customers, a ‘real-time quote monitoring’ system is also in operation.
An Encar.com official said, “We established the Encar Comparative Quote Transaction Verification Center to further enhance the reliability and transparency of the car selling service,” adding, “We will focus more on strengthening trust so that consumers can trade with peace of mind until the end of using the Encar Comparative Quote service.”
