[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Kia has prepared a special camping event where customers can enjoy the unique atmosphere of autumn, exclusively for Kia EV Members, a membership program tailored for electric vehicle customers.
On the 30th, Kia announced that it will hold the ‘Kia EV Members Camp Day’ featuring electric vehicles at four major camping sites nationwide: Haemil Camping Site in Muju, Jeonbuk; Seokgaengi Camping Site in Taean, Chungnam; Auto Camping Site in Yangyang, Gangwon; and Auto Camping Site at Yeongjuho, Gyeongbuk.
Applications to participate in the event are being accepted until November 8 through the Kia and Kia Members websites and the mobile application MyKia. The camping events will be held in four sessions: October 15-16 (Muju, Jeonbuk), October 29-30 (Taean, Chungnam), November 5-6 (Yangyang, Gangwon), and November 19-20 (Yeongju, Gyeongbuk).
Participants will be able to experience various contents prepared by Kia, including electric vehicle camping life, amidst nature. Kia will rent out the entire camping site for each event, and up to four people including the winner can attend, allowing families or friends to enjoy autumn camping together.
To reduce the burden of camping and enhance convenience, Kia plans to provide each participating team with camping tents, various camping supplies, meal kits, and beverages. Additionally, participants can park their vehicles next to their assigned tents to experience car camping along with traditional camping.
In line with the concept of ‘Camping Life with Electric Vehicles,’ the main plaza of each camping site will feature displays of the EV6 GT and Niro EV. The vehicle display area will be designed as a photo zone harmonized with the surrounding scenery, enabling participants to capture memories of their autumn camping experience.
Camping participants can enjoy a unique camping life with Kia electric vehicles by using various electronic devices such as sausage grills, refrigerators, coffee machines, and popcorn makers at the V2L (Vehicle to Load) snack bar powered by the EV6 and Niro EV.
Within each camping site, an eco-friendly zone will showcase sustainable products created by Kia in collaboration with social ventures and upcycling specialist brands as part of its efforts toward a sustainable future. Participants will also engage in a ‘plogging campaign,’ cleaning up trash around the camping site and walking trails, promoting a healthy camping culture.
A Kia official stated, “The Kia EV Members Camp Day is a differentiated customer invitation program where participants can experience a special camping life with electric vehicles in nature, feeling the essence of autumn. We will continue to hold diverse events for Kia EV Members customers in the future.”
