Increases the Possibility of Attracting Investment for Local Content Companies

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency held the 'Visiting KNock Investment Attraction Consultation' on the 28th at the Chungbuk Content Korea Lab in Cheongju. This event connects content companies facing difficulties in attracting investment, such as early-stage projects or niche genre content, with professional investors. It aims to enhance investment competitiveness through practical support and help companies grow.

Ten content startups, including Academy Doctor, Pixquick, WePlay, and Munhwa Yesul Gihwe Salome, participated in the consultation, which was held in the region for the first time this year. They met with content-specialized investors such as Daekyo Investment, SmartStudy Ventures, Daol Investment, and Ecrux Venture Partners to concretize their business models and establish investment attraction strategies. Seunghyun Jeong, CEO of Academy Doctor, said, "As a regional content producer, it was not easy to meet professional investors, so I heard various stories from investment strategies to trends."

On-site, a lecture on investment trends focused on edutech content was also held. About fifty content creators and producers from the Chungbuk region attended to resolve their questions about attracting investment. Jaeseung Noh, Executive Director of Daekyo Investment, and Jinyoung Choi, CEO of SM Institute, participated as speakers, respectively explaining 'Edutech Startup Investment Process and Investment Cases' and 'Edutech Industry Trends and Business Know-how.'

Seunghyuk Baek, head of the Content Finance Support Group at the Korea Creative Content Agency, said, "We plan to meet local content companies in Busan in November and Gwangju in December," adding, "We will provide multifaceted support so that regional content companies are not marginalized and can successfully attract investment."
