[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] As people from all over the country are sending their heartfelt support for the recovery of daily life in Pohang City, Gyeongbuk, on the 29th, Gochang County, Jeonbuk, also visited Pohang City Hall to donate 100 boxes of melons and 100 packs of gim, Gochang specialties, worth a total of 5.5 million KRW.


Hong Jeongmuk, Director of Rural Vitality, who visited City Hall on behalf of Gochang County Governor Shim Deokseop, said, “We sincerely hope that the residents affected by the flood damage can recover their daily lives as soon as possible,” and added, “Gochang County will also support Pohang City to overcome the pain caused by the typhoon damage.”


On the same day, Hongdeok Industry donated wallpaper and flooring worth 100 million KRW to the city, Dohwa Engineering donated 20 million KRW in cash, the Administrative Alumni Association donated 1 million KRW in cash, and the Korea Baptist Convention donated wallpaper and flooring worth 20 million KRW.

The donated money and goods on this day will be used for relief of flood victims and restoration of typhoon damage.


Joo Jongdae, CEO of Hongdeok Industry, said, “I hope this donation can provide some strength to the victims who suffered from the typhoon damage.”


Mayor Lee Gangdeok said, “I sincerely thank everyone who sent their support so that Pohang City can overcome this difficulty,” and added, “We will do our best for the swift recovery of daily life through typhoon damage restoration and relief for the victims.”
