HL Mando Donates 'Sarang-ui Ottugi Wheelchair' in 2022

[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] HL Mando and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority announced on the 29th that they donated ‘Love’s Ottogi Wheelchairs’ to 118 severely disabled victims of traffic accidents nationwide. The 72 electric and manual wheelchairs and 16 electric scooters produced this time will be delivered to the recipients’ homes across the country. The newly added electric scooters were made for elderly people with mobility difficulties.

The donation of ‘Love’s Ottogi Wheelchairs’ began in 2012 to honor the ‘Ottogi Spirit’ of the late Jeong In-Young, the founding chairman of HL Group. This year marks the 11th anniversary. It is well known that Chairman Jeong In-Young traveled the world in a wheelchair while managing the business frontlines. Overcoming illness and standing tall again, the industry called him the business world’s Budong-ong (Ottogi).

The ‘Love’s Ottogi Wheelchair’ donation event was held in Pangyo. Kim Young-Min, Executive Director of HL Mando, who attended the event, said, “I am grateful for the opportunity to carry on the founding chairman’s spirit and contribute to society,” adding, “It is a small but meaningful donation.”

HL Mando has donated ‘Love’s Ottogi Wheelchairs’ to 647 people to date. The delivery ceremonies are held in ‘Pangyo’, ‘Pyeongtaek’, ‘Wonju’, and ‘Iksan’, where HL Mando’s business sites are located.
