[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Hair beauty brand 'Moremo' is making a full-scale entry into the UK cosmetics market, which is worth 20 trillion won annually.
Cosmetics specialist company Sehwa P&C announced on the 29th that it will supply hair products from its brand Moremo to the UK home shopping channel QVC UK.
QVC is a global TV home shopping network launched in 1986. It is watched by approximately 350 million households in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, and other countries. QVC UK broadcasts in the UK and Ireland.
The products supplied to QVC include four items: 'Water Treatment Miracle10,' 'Hair Essence Delightful Oil,' 'Recovery Balm B,' and 'Repair Shampoo R.'
All of these have completed European cosmetics registration (CPNP), and among the seven products that have completed CPNP, the remaining three will be supplied additionally in the future.
The UK cosmetics market reached ?12.767 billion (approximately 19.6 trillion won) last year. It is the world's 7th largest beauty market and is expected to grow by 3% annually over the next five years, reaching ?15.374 billion (approximately 23.5 trillion won) by 2026.
A Sehwa P&C official said, "We will continue to expand our online and offline sales channels in the UK and increase the number of CPNP-certified products to establish ourselves as a beloved beauty brand among UK consumers."
