Police Officer Booked for Leaking Personal Information of Terra·Luna Founder Kwon Do-hyung's Family

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] It has been confirmed that a current police officer has been booked in connection with the incident in which an internal report containing personal information of Terraform Labs CEO Kwon Do-hyung's family was leaked externally.

On the 29th, the Gangdong Police Station in Seoul booked Officer A, affiliated with the Seongdong Police Station in Seoul, on the 22nd on charges of violating the Personal Information Protection Act. The Seongdong Police Station had identified and booked the officer last month. It is known that the case was transferred to the Gangdong Police Station due to concerns over fairness.

On May 13, controversy arose when a document containing personal information of CEO Kwon's spouse was leaked in an investment-related chat room on social networking services (SNS). The report reportedly included the reporter's address and other details related to personal protection.

The police are currently understood to have identified that the document was disclosed in a KakaoTalk open chat room related to investment.

Meanwhile, an internet broadcaster BJ A, who suffered losses after investing in Luna, unlawfully entered the shared entrance of an apartment in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, where CEO Kwon resides, on May 12, rang the doorbell, and fled. Following this, CEO Kwon's spouse requested personal protection from the police.
