Gyeonggawon Signs Business Agreement with Thailand International Trade Promotion Department

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency has joined hands with the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) to enter the Thai market.

On the 28th (local time), the Gyeonggi Agency announced on the 29th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with DITP in Bangkok, Thailand, for comprehensive cooperation in promoting small and medium-sized enterprises.

DITP is a government agency under the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand and serves as the control tower overseeing trade promotion in Thailand.

This MOU was arranged at the request of DITP to commemorate the '2022 G-FAIR (Gyeonggi Excellent Products Overseas Exhibition) Thailand,' held offline in Bangkok, Thailand, over two days from the 28th to the 29th.

According to the agreement, the two organizations will engage in unrestricted mutual cooperation not only to promote small and medium-sized enterprises but also to advance into the global market.

Yoo Seung-kyung, head of the Gyeonggi Agency, stated in a letter, "I hope this MOU will serve as an opportunity to further strengthen economic cooperation between Korea and Thailand," adding, "Let us lead this as a model case to overcome the global trade crisis faced by SMEs in both countries through practical cooperative projects."
