Jeju Fire Station Conducts Training to Enhance Fire Safety Instructor Competencies


[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] Jeju Fire Station (Chief Ko Jae-woo) announced on the 29th that it held an external expert instructor training session on the 27th in the main conference room to strengthen the capabilities of 13 fire safety instructors affiliated with Jeju Fire Station.


This training was held to provide time for fire safety instructors to develop various lecture techniques and content in a systematic and professional manner, in response to the increasing demand for fire safety education for residents from various institutions and organizations.


Jeju Fire Station operates a pool of 13 instructors, consisting of 3 fire safety instructors holding fire safety education qualifications, and 10 fire safety instructors with qualifications such as fire response ability and emergency medical technician (nurse), who have extensive experience in fire and emergency scenes.


Additionally, as of August 2022, Jeju Fire Station conducted a total of 460 sessions of fire safety education for 29,793 residents within its jurisdiction.


Chief Ko Jae-woo stated, “As social interest and awareness regarding safety, including the Serious Accident Punishment Act, increase and the demand for safety education grows, the capabilities of fire safety instructors have become more important. We will maximize the effectiveness of fire safety education through continuous improvement of fire safety instructors’ abilities.”
