[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Shinhan Financial Investment announced on the 29th that it will change its name to 'Shinhan Investment Corp.' starting October 1.
Earlier on the 26th, Shinhan Financial Investment showcased an illustration featuring a greeting that reads "Professionals start anew as professionals at Shinhan Investment Corp." along with a bluebird symbolizing happiness, and irises and morning glories representing joyful news, on outdoor billboards in global financial hubs including New York Times Square, London, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
"Professionals as professionals" is the slogan of the newly launched Shinhan Investment Corp. The illustration featuring the bluebird, iris, and morning glory is the work of artist Kim Shin-young, who has collaborated with luxury brands such as Gucci.
Shinhan Financial Investment plans to display the new slogan and greeting at landmarks, transportation media, and major stations in major cities nationwide including Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, Daejeon, and Ulsan. Starting October 1, the name "Shinhan Investment Corp. Station" will be co-listed next to Yeouido Station on Subway Line 5.
Lee Young-chang, CEO of Shinhan Financial Investment, stated, "We intend to use this name change as an opportunity to establish our status as a leading securities firm in Korea's capital market and to create a new history through a leap forward."
