[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Kakao announced on the 29th that it will conduct a win-win promotion through KakaoTalk Shopping to purchase Korean agricultural, livestock, and marine products directly from production sites at affordable prices.
The ‘Together Living Market’ event is held in collaboration with eight direct-from-production partners including Haenam Miso, Cheongpung Myeongwol Market, Jeonnam Saenghyeop, and the Post Office Shopping Mall, embodying the spirit of mutual growth by encouraging the consumption of Korean agricultural, livestock, and marine products.
The promotion runs until October 1st, featuring representative products such as the first seasonal fruits of the year including Jeju open-field tangerines, Naju Singo pears, Yeongam figs, as well as Haenam rice, all sold at discounts of up to 46%.
Kakao is also offering a 10% discount coupon on a first-come, first-served basis to customers who purchase products from participating companies. Customers who add the Talk Store of participating farms and local governments to their favorites will be entered into a drawing to receive 1,000 Kakao Shopping Points, awarded to 5,000 winners.
Lee Chan-ju, manager of KakaoTalk Shopping, said, “This promotion was prepared to help expand sales channels for farms and producers and to provide customers with high-quality fresh food at reasonable prices.” He added, “Going forward, KakaoTalk Shopping will continue to expand promotions and special events that promote mutual growth with local governments and partners as part of its ESG activities.”
