Geumeum Publishes Book Review Collection 'I Love Korean Novels 2'... 20 Authors to Hold Book Talks Until November

[Asia Economy Reporter Seo Mideum] The second volume of the free e-book review collection "Because I Like Korean Novels" has been released.

Kim Hye-jung, CEO of 'Geumeum,' who produced and published the review collection, stated, "Continuing the planning intention of the first volume, which was to recommend works by relatively lesser-known contemporary Korean novelists, we focused on full-length novels," adding, "There was a concern that full-length novels receive relatively less attention in the Korean literary scene."

The reviews were written by thirty contributors including novelists, critics, editors, journalists, and PDs, covering a diverse range of genres from humorous dramas and hyperrealistic social critique novels to thrillers, mysteries, climate SF, as well as 'local occult' and 'regression martial arts' works.

'Because I Like Korean Novels 2' can be downloaded for free from major online bookstores such as Ridibooks, Yes24, and Aladin. After downloading, it can be read through the e-book viewer provided by the respective bookstore.

Online meetings with the authors have also been arranged. From next month’s 10th to November 7th, authors Choi Yuaan of 'Back Office,' Yeom Gi-won of 'Goody Joan of Arc,' Choi Yang-seon of 'Head of Household Oh Young-sun,' and Kwon Yeoreum of 'My Life’s Last Diet' will meet readers at Geumeum. Applications for participation are available on the Geumeum website, and attendance is free of charge.

CEO Kim said, "We will continue the 'Because I Like Korean Novels' series in the form of free e-books," adding, "I hope it can become a vessel that contains diverse voices both inside and outside the Korean literary community, beyond just a simple review collection."
