Earl Grey and Rooibos Milk Tea Also Available for Sale
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] CU announced on the 29th that it will introduce premium handcrafted beers that highlight the flavor of tea in collaboration with Tabaron. Tabaron, meaning "paradise of tea," is a brand that started in Manhattan, New York, and deals with premium leaf teas selected from around the world.
The products being introduced this time are two types: ‘Crimson Sunset’ and ‘After Black.’ Tabaron Crimson Sunset is an ale beer made by adding fruit tea to wheat beer, featuring subtle fruit aromas of apple and orange and a sweet taste that anyone can enjoy lightly. After Black is a lager-style beer made using Indonesian black tea, emphasizing deep flavor and refreshing sensation. It was developed through collaboration between Tabaron’s tea sommelier and the brewmaster who made Gom Pyo wheat beer, offering a differentiated taste and mass appeal using Tabaron tea raw materials.
Tabaron beer will be launched with a promotion of 4 cans for 11,000 won, and next month, a Beer Day event will also be held on Fridays and Saturdays, selling popular craft beers at 4 cans for 10,000 won.
They will also release two types of milk tea, ‘Earl Grey’ and ‘Rooibos,’ made using raw materials directly developed by Tabaron Tea. With a domestic milk content of 65%, these have a richer and creamier taste compared to general RTD (Ready To Drink) products, and use Goiasa sugar made from 100% organic sugarcane.
A BGF Retail official said, “These collaborative products were developed using premium raw materials used in tea manufacturing, and are expected to be popular among Tabaron enthusiasts as well as customers interested in tea,” adding, “We will consider expanding the product lineup based on customer feedback in the future.”
