On the 28th, the Gwanak Police Station in Seoul announced that they had applied for an arrest warrant for a man in his 30s, suspect A, who is accused of robbery and murder.
A is suspected of killing a 74-year-old female building owner of the gosiwon where he lived on the morning of the previous day, stealing her card, bankbook, and about 100,000 won in cash, and fleeing.
The victim was found dead with her hands tied in the basement floor of a four-story gosiwon in Sillim-dong at around 12:48 PM the previous day.
The police tracked the suspect’s movements by checking closed-circuit television (CCTV) and other sources, and arrested A at a sauna in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, at around 10 PM on the same day.
