[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Samsung Seoul Hospital and Sejong Chungnam National University Hospital announced on the 28th that they have signed a memorandum of understanding for joint research and development cooperation in the field of digital healthcare.
The two institutions agreed to collaborate on ▲joint participation plans for Sejong City smart city healthcare solutions ▲joint development of wearable sensor-based smart wards and smart outpatient solutions ▲joint establishment of innovation medical device development and test beds ▲joint development of medical research and clinical service programs specialized in medical departments.
Park Seung-woo, director of Samsung Seoul Hospital, said, “Samsung Seoul Hospital will become an excellent partner for mutual development through cooperation with Sejong Chungnam National University Hospital in various fields,” adding, “We especially expect to achieve concrete results such as discovering and developing innovative medical technologies in the digital healthcare field.”
Shin Hyun-dae, director of Sejong Chungnam National University Hospital, said, “We are honored to promote joint projects in the digital healthcare field with Samsung Seoul Hospital, which is the top level in Korea,” and added, “We will actively cooperate to coexist for the pivotal role of future medicine.”
