[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] On the 28th, SK Siltron signed a 'Voluntary Agreement to Resolve Polarization' with the Win-Win Growth Committee and partner small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to address polarization through cooperation between large and small-medium enterprises.
SK Siltron will operate a total of 48.1 billion KRW worth of win-win cooperation programs over the next three years targeting partner SMEs and employees. They plan to provide support in various areas, including joint technology development support for partner SMEs and implementing a performance-sharing system.
Additionally, the programs include ▲ support for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) education and consulting ▲ welfare support for partner company employees ▲ establishment of a win-win growth cooperation loan fund. Compliance with the 'Three Principles of Proper Payment' for subcontracting and other cooperative transactions is also included. SK Siltron plans to implement a delivery price adjustment consultation system that applies price increases after a certain period of negotiation when partner companies request price increases.
Partner SMEs will enhance efforts to innovate through compliance with the Three Principles of Proper Payment in transactions between partner companies, research and development (R&D), and productivity improvement. They will also strive to improve product and service quality, improve working conditions for employees, and expand new employment. The Win-Win Growth Committee will actively cooperate to provide opportunities for technical and purchasing consultations so that SK Siltron and partner SMEs can practice polarization resolution and win-win growth activities. They will also promote and publicize excellent cases.
Park Chi-hyung, Director of Operations at the Win-Win Growth Committee, said, "Through this agreement, various programs to strengthen the competitiveness of partner SMEs, such as joint technology development and ESG consulting support, will be promoted, and we expect SK Siltron to continue to take the lead in spreading the culture of win-win growth.”
