Yeonggwang-gun Operates 'Visiting Address Change Service'

[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Jeollanam-do Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Kang Jongman) announced on the 28th that it held a 'Visiting Address Change Service' event by visiting the Yeonggwang Fire Station on the 27th.

Governor Kang Jongman toured each office and informed the Yeonggwang Fire Station staff of the critical situation where Yeonggwang-gun was selected as a population extinction area, requesting them to relocate and settle in Yeonggwang-gun.

He also promoted various policies supported by Yeonggwang-gun at a nationwide top level, such as marriage encouragement funds and newborn childcare expenses.

The county provides incentives to affiliated institutions and companies in the jurisdiction that actively participate in the 'Having My Workplace Address' campaign.

If there are three or more employees who have been registered residents in other cities, counties, or districts for more than one year and have moved to Yeonggwang-gun and lived there for more than six months, a relocation merit incentive ranging from 200,000 KRW to a maximum of 3,000,000 KRW is provided.

Governor Kang Jongman said, "Due to the nature of firefighters' jobs, it may be difficult to relocate because of rotational duties within the province, but I ask them to live in the area and be part of the local community," adding, "We will strengthen support through various county policies."

Meanwhile, as part of the 'Having My Hometown, My Workplace Address' campaign, the county operates the 'Visiting Address Change Service' year-round to provide convenience for residents living in the jurisdiction to report their address changes.
