Autumn Night in Wando Bogildo... Gosan Night Tour, Pungnyu Performances, and More

[Wando=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that from the 30th of this month to the 9th of next month, it will hold the '2022 Clean Wando Autumn Island Travel' event under the theme of 'Play Island Wando' in Wando-eup, Cheongsan-do, Bogil-do, Saengil-do, and other locations.

In particular, on Bogil-do, under the theme 'Playing Pungnyu (elegant enjoyment)', events such as 'Gosan Night Walk (孤山 夜行)', 'Pungnyu Cultural Performances', 'Bogil-do Gourmet Gathering', and 'Bogil-do Yun Stay' will be held at Seyonjeong, allowing visitors to enjoy the autumn night atmosphere.

Seyonjeong is located in Buyongdong Garden, a representative garden of the Joseon Dynasty created by Gosan Yun Seon-do himself. A natural stream is dammed with stone embankments to form a pond (Seyeonji), and a pavilion (Seyonjeong) stands between the ponds. The name Seyeon means a place where the surrounding scenery is so clean as if washed by water, making one feel refreshed.

During the event period, admission to Seyonjeong on Bogil-do is free.

'Gosan Night Walk' allows visitors to appreciate Seyonjeong in a different light from daytime by illuminating it with night lighting from 6 PM to 10 PM, and a photo zone is also set up in the camellia forest.

On the 8th of next month, traditional Korean music performances featuring geomungo, daegeum, ajaeng, and janggu will be prepared so visitors can enjoy Pungnyu while seated at Seyonjeong.

Additionally, various performances such as guitar, saxophone, and middle school band performances will be presented through residents' talent donations.

'Bogil Gourmet Gathering' will be operated daily from 6 PM to 9 PM during the event period by the Bogil-do Residents' Autonomy Committee, offering dishes such as abalone seafood tteokbokki, sweet and sour pork, and gimbap made with Bogil-do's specialty abalone, along with tastings of Hwangchil Makgeolli.

'Bogil-do Yun Stay' plans to recruit bloggers to introduce Gosan Night Walk, Gourmet Gathering, and other programs on SNS to promote the event and Bogil-do.
