Simmons Bed, 3rd Issuance of 'OSV' NFT

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Simmons, a sleep specialist brand, will issue its third non-fungible token (NFT) on the 29th.

Simmons Beds is collaborating with three young creative artists representing the MZ generation (Buwon, Maykim, and Cha In-cheol) to introduce NFTs for the first time in the industry. The NFT works by Buwon and Maykim, released on the 15th and 22nd respectively, have gained high popularity with a purchasing relay mainly among young people.

This NFT is inspired by Simmons' 2022 brand campaign 'Oddly Satisfying Video (OSV),' which sparked a 'spacing out' craze and surpassed 20 million views on YouTube in less than a month after its release earlier this year. It features two digital art pieces (Pool in California, The Pump).

The protagonist of the third NFT work, Cha In-cheol, operates the personal brand 'inch_inch_inch' and the cafe '33apartment,' and actively engages in graphic design and illustration work across various fields including branding and interior design. He has a strong fan base, with over 80,000 Instagram followers.

In this collaboration with Simmons, Cha In-cheol reinterpreted elements such as motion, segmentation, and coloring from OSV into looping motion art as an homage.

Cha In-cheol's two NFT pieces will be available from 12 PM on the 29th at 'CCCV NFT,' an NFT open market operated by blockchain specialist company BlockoXYZ. NFT holders will receive benefits such as an 'Artist Talk and Q&A Session' where they can meet Cha In-cheol in person.
