"Will Further Expand Social Responsibility in the Future"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] KakaoBank announced on the 28th that it donated 200 million KRW to the Credit Recovery Committee's 'New Hope Healing Fund' on the 27th to support vulnerable groups who suffered financial damage. The donation ceremony was attended by Heo Jae-young, Chief Consumer Protection Officer (CCO) of KakaoBank, and Yoo Song-hwa, Head of the Credit Recovery Committee.
The Credit Recovery Committee's New Hope Healing Fund is a fund established to provide long-term low-interest emergency funds such as tuition, medical expenses, and living expenses to low-income and low-credit individuals who have suffered financial damage from voice phishing and other causes. This donation will also be used for social contribution projects such as loan support for financial victims and the financially marginalized, as well as the operation of a citizen monitoring group to eradicate illegal financial activities like voice phishing.
CCO Heo said, "I am very honored to participate in the donation ceremony aimed at reducing the financial burden of vulnerable groups who have suffered financial damage," and added, "We will further expand various social responsibility activities to prevent financial damage in the future."
