[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] NH Nonghyup Card announced on the 28th that the number of subscribers to the 'NH Phishing Prevention Service,' launched to prevent voice phishing incidents, surpassed 10,000 within two weeks of its launch.
The NH Phishing Prevention Service includes the ▲Unauthorized Use Prevention Alarm Service, which provides alerts to a pre-registered additional contact if it becomes difficult to reach the customer due to malicious applications installed on their mobile phone, and the ▲Financial Institution Credit Inquiry Alarm Service, which notifies customers of loan applications made to domestic financial institutions impersonating family members or acquaintances.
Additionally, the service offers the ▲Overseas Unauthorized Use Prevention Service, which compares the country location of the customer's mobile phone to prevent incidents when a third party applies for a long-term card loan overseas under the customer's name, and the ▲Malicious App Detection Alarm Service, which provides real-time alerts when malicious apps, remote control apps, or smishing text messages are detected on customers' phones with the 'Phishing Eyes' app installed. The Malicious App Detection Alarm Service is linked with the Nonghyup Card voice phishing detection system and is used as information to prevent damage during monitoring of suspicious long- and short-term card loan transactions.
Kim Chang-hyun, Vice President of NH Nonghyup Card, said, "We planned the NH Phishing Prevention Service to create a safe and sound society," adding, "We will continue to develop and expand various services to make it a public service that can prevent damage to customers' financial assets."
Meanwhile, this service is available to all NH Nonghyup Card customers, and detailed information about service subscription can be found on the official NH Nonghyup Card website and the NH Nonghyup Card smart app.
