[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] President Yoon Seok-yeol announced on the 27th that he appointed Choi Jang-hyuk, Secretary General of the Personal Information Protection Commission, as the Vice Chairman (Vice Minister level) of the Personal Information Protection Commission, according to the presidential office.
Vice Chairman Choi was born in 1963 and graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Business Administration. He passed the 36th Administrative Examination and has served as Director General of the Electronic Government Bureau at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Deputy Mayor of Incheon Metropolitan City, and Head of the Autonomy Planning Division at the Presidential Committee on Local Autonomy.
