Cobra Golf King Putter Family "Opening the Era of 3D Printing"

Cobra Golf King Putter Family "Opening the Era of 3D Printing"

[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] "Not a single margin of error."

This is the King Putter family from Cobra Golf. It consists of the "King 3D Printed Putter (photo)" and the "King Vintage Putter." A notable feature is the precise manufacturing of the composite material body using 3D printed nylon inserts in partnership with HP. "Hulk" Bryson DeChambeau (USA) participated in the development. Cobra Golf made the putter body, while SIK Golf produced the face.

What stands out is that the loft varies across different parts of the face. The upper part has a 4-degree loft, decreasing by 1 degree every four steps downward. This design is based on the idea that the ball's roll varies depending on the point of impact. The face material is aluminum, providing a soft striking feel. The 3D printed putters come in three types: Blade GrandSport-35, Mallet Supernova, and Azera. Weight is concentrated on the edges of the head to increase the moment of inertia.

The GrandSport-35 is a slightly larger blade putter. It minimizes head twisting on mishits, allowing the ball to roll straight. To increase the moment of inertia, heavy tungsten (42g) is placed at both ends of the head. The Supernova putter is a mallet with horns on both sides. This weight increases forgiveness up to 5700. The Azera putter has a moment of inertia reaching 7600, offering high stability.

Cobra Golf's King Vintage Putter also enjoys steady popularity. It comes in three types: Sport-45, Nova, and Stingray. It is equipped with SIK Golf's aluminum face inserts. In October, the King WideSport Putter will also be released. The 3D printed putters are available at Cobra Puma House and golf specialty stores nationwide. The King Vintage Putter is exclusively sold by AK Golf.
