[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Russia acknowledged that there were mistakes in the process of enforcing the mobilization order, including the conscription of elderly and disabled individuals, and stated that it would correct these errors.
According to TASS news agency on the 26th (local time), Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, said during a phone conference with reporters, "There have indeed been cases of violations of the mobilization order," adding, "The governors of the respective regions are working to rectify the situation. We expect the errors to be corrected."
Regarding the possibility of border closures or the declaration of martial law to prevent citizens from fleeing abroad after the mobilization order, he responded, "I do not know. Nothing has been decided."
Recently, both inside and outside Russia, there have been criticisms that during the enforcement of the mobilization order, individuals who were exempt from military service or deemed unfit for service, such as the elderly, patients, and disabled people, were conscripted.
