Chairman Jeong Ji-seon on Daejeon Hyundai Outlet Fire: "Deep Condolences and Apologies... Will Not Evade Any Responsibility" Hyun Jeeseon, Chairman of Hyundai Department Store Group, is issuing an apology statement at the site of Hyundai Premium Outlet Daejeon on the 26th regarding the fire accident.


[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] Chung Ji-sun, Chairman of Hyundai Department Store Group, visited the Hyundai Premium Outlet in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, where a fire broke out on the 26th, and apologized, saying, "I deeply feel a heavy sense of responsibility."


Chairman Chung said, "I offer my deepest condolences and apologies to the deceased and their families who lost their lives in the underground parking lot fire accident at Hyundai Premium Outlet Daejeon," and added, "I also bow my head in apology to the employees currently hospitalized due to the fire and the local residents." He continued, "I sincerely hope for the safe return of the missing persons and pray for the speedy recovery of the hospitalized employee."


Chairman Chung stated, "Hyundai Department Store deeply feels a heavy sense of responsibility for this accident and will fully cooperate with the relevant authorities to manage the aftermath and accurately identify the cause." He also emphasized that they will sincerely participate in investigations by the police, fire department, and other related authorities in the future and will not evade any responsibility.


Chairman Chung added, "I once again apologize to all those affected by this fire accident and to the local residents."
