[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] The Humanities Korea Plus HK+ Project Group at Pukyong National University held the opening ceremony of the "Pukyong University·Busan MBC Forbidden Alley" exhibition on the morning of the 26th at the Academy Hall on the first floor of Dongwon Jangbogo Hall.

This exhibition, jointly organized by the Pukyong University HK+ Project Group, the Global Area Studies Institute, the Global Area Studies BK Education Research Group, and Busan MBC, is themed "Alleys Embracing the Sea and Stories" and will be held from today until October 28.

At this exhibition, visitors can see photographs of alley scenes and stories featured in Busan MBC's documentary "Forbidden Alley," which has introduced the landscapes and stories of alleys across the country.

Among alleys nationwide, about 50 works by five foreign photographers who captured alleys in five port cities including Busan, Incheon, Mokpo, Gunsan, and Tongyeong will be unveiled at this exhibition.

The exhibited photographs depict alley scenes from port cities where the dynamism of Korea's modern and contemporary history lives on, including Yeongdo, Kkagomak-gil, Maechukji Village, and Uam-dong in Busan; Chinatown, Baedari, Sinheung-dong Railway Village, and Baekmajang in Incheon; Geumhwa-dong, Sihwa Alley, and Dasungumi Alley in Mokpo; Jjaeboseonchang, Modernization Street, and 99 Alley in Gunsan; and Gangguan, Dongpirang, and Bongsu Alley in Tongyeong.

Along with the photo exhibition, the exhibition also features a media display screening Busan MBC's "Forbidden Alley" documentary and a book exhibition showcasing literary works containing stories of port cities.

The exhibition viewing hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the exhibition period, and it is closed on weekends and public holidays.
