[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Dasco Co., Ltd. (CEO Han Sangwon) has awarded future talent scholarships totaling 14.4 million KRW to 15 local high school and university students.
According to the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Park Cheolhong) on the 26th, the award ceremony was held with the attendance of Han Sangwon, CEO of Dasco, Kim Jingon, Secretary General of the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea, scholarship recipients, and related personnel.
The scholarships were provided to 3 university students from the care-neighbor program with 2 million KRW each, totaling 6 million KRW, and to 12 high school students with 700,000 KRW each, totaling 8.4 million KRW, supporting a total of 15 students.
Han Sangwon, CEO of Dasco, said, “Since students are the hope and dreams of the future, we have been continuously conducting scholarship support projects as one way to give back the love received from the local community. I hope that the students receiving this scholarship will grow into future talents who create added value in the upcoming knowledge economy era and contribute to a sustainable advanced nation.”
Kim Jingon, Secretary General of the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea, stated, “This donation will serve as an important foundation for students striving to leap toward the future.”
Meanwhile, since its first donation in 2002, Dasco has carried out various social contribution activities including support for Parkinson’s happiness rest centers, job support projects for vulnerable groups, living expense support for vulnerable groups, and scholarship support projects. The total amount donated through the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea reaches 470 million KRW.
