Effective Digital Transformation Directions for Archaeological Academic Information...


On the 28th, the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage will hold an academic symposium on the theme of "Digital Transformation of Archaeological Academic Information" at Hotel ICC in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon. This event aims to explore directions for digitizing academic information in Korean archaeology. It will review domestic and international cases related to the compilation, management, and utilization of archaeological data and discuss future models following the digital transformation of academic information. Presenters include Lee Chorong from the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage, Takata Yuichi from the Nara National Research Institute for Cultural Properties in Japan, Annabel Lee Enr?quez from the Getty Conservation Institute in the USA, Julian Richards from the University of York in the UK, Kim Hyun from the Academy of Korean Studies, and Kim Beomcheol from Chungbuk National University. Topics will cover the past and present of building archaeological academic information, sustainability and interoperability of online cultural heritage data, and strategies and implementation plans for archaeological academic information data archiving. Anyone can attend by registering on-site on the day of the event. The symposium will also be broadcast live on the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage's YouTube channel.
