[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Hong Jaesik, former director of the Gyeongnam Community Service Support Center, has been appointed as the 2nd chairman of the Changwon Welfare Foundation.


On the 23rd, Chairman Hong received his appointment certificate at the office of Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City.


According to the city, the new chairman Hong earned a master's degree in social welfare from the graduate school of Gyeongnam National University, and previously served as the director of planning and coordination at the Korea Association of Social Workers and as the director of Masan Senior County.


Chairman Hong stated, “I will ensure that the Changwon Welfare Foundation discovers and promotes Changwon-style policies to serve as the control tower for welfare in Changwon,” adding, “I will strive to contribute to the improvement of welfare for Changwon citizens and to create an inclusive welfare ecosystem so that Changwon Special City can be a happy city for its citizens.”
