Kwon Yul and Han Sunhwa to Host Busan International Film Festival Closing Ceremony

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Actors Kwon Yul and Han Sunhwa will close this year's Busan International Film Festival.

On the 26th, the 27th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) announced that Kwon Yul and Han Sunhwa have been selected as hosts for the closing ceremony to be held on October 14. The closing ceremony will feature a red carpet event, awards such as the Actor of the Year Award and the New Currents Award, and a screening of the closing film "A Man" (2022) directed by Ishikawa Kei.

Kwon Yul said, "I am honored to be able to share the end of the festival as a host," adding, "As Asia's largest film festival, I will do my best to conclude it well." Han Sunhwa said, "This is my first visit, and I am grateful to be invited as the host of the closing ceremony. I will do my best to ensure that this year's festival ends brilliantly together with numerous filmmakers and audiences."

BIFF will be held for ten days from October 5 to 14 around the Busan Cinema Center.
