President Yoon Returns Home After 7-Day, 5-Night Tour... Welcomed by Jeong Jin-seok and Others

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] President Yoon Suk-yeol returned home on the night of the 24th through Seongnam Seoul Airport after a 5-night, 7-day tour of the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada.

President Yoon departed for London, United Kingdom on the 18th to attend the state funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II. He then delivered a keynote speech at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly in New York, held bilateral summit meetings including with Japan and South Korea, and conducted a South Korea-Canada summit in Ottawa, Canada.

At Seoul Airport that day, Jeong Jin-seok, Emergency Response Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, and Joo Ho-young, floor leader, welcomed President Yoon. Minister of the Interior and Safety Lee Sang-min, Presidential Secretary Kim Dae-gi, Senior Secretary for Political Affairs Lee Jin-bok, and First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Hyun-dong also greeted the president.

President Yoon waved to the welcoming officials, held the hand of First Lady Kim Geon-hee, and descended the Air Force One stairs. He then shook hands and greeted the officials waiting on the runway.
