Awarding of Appointment Certificates and Discussion on Measures to Revitalize International Exchange
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] The ‘Gumi City Internationalization Promotion Council’ in Gyeongbuk held its regular meeting for this year on the 23rd at 1:30 PM in the International Trade Cooperation Office of Gumi City Hall, with 13 committee members in attendance.
The Gumi City Internationalization Promotion Council is a public-private-academic-industry consultative body composed of 13 members, chaired by Vice Mayor Baeyongsoo. It plays a role in deliberating and coordinating matters such as international exchange plans and setting exchange directions, discovering internationalization promotion tasks by sector, and selecting and promoting international exchange cooperation projects.
At the meeting, appointment letters were presented to 11 appointed members, and the achievements of Gumi City’s international exchange promotion this year and the 2023 international exchange promotion plan were explained. The members also shared their opinions on balanced and efficient activation plans and directions for Gumi City’s future internationalization.
Chairman Baeyongsoo said, “The past three years have been challenging for promoting international exchange projects due to COVID-19, but through today’s meeting, we will strive to create a Gumi that leaps onto the world stage by activating various international exchange projects by sector and promoting international exchange in the private sector.”
