[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] On the 22nd (local time), Interfax news agency reported that the Russian military announced the mobilization criteria for reservists to be deployed in the special military operation in Ukraine.

According to the report, the Russian military plans to prioritize the conscription of reservists who have military specialties or combat experience among the reservists.

Vladimir Chimryansky, Director of the Main Organization and Mobilization Department of the Russian General Staff, stated, "There is no set order for conscription among the mobilized reservists," but added, "However, those who will perform duties such as riflemen, tank crew members, artillerymen, drivers, and mechanical maintenance personnel will be mobilized first."

Reservists who are in poor health or have first-degree disabilities, as well as reservists working in the military-industrial sector within Russia, are excluded from mobilization.

Additionally, reservists over 35 years old who have four or more children under the age of 16, or those who have been discharged as soldiers or non-commissioned officers, are exempt from conscription.

Information technology (IT) and communications workers, financial professionals, and state media journalists are also excluded from mobilization.

Reservists deployed to Ukraine will receive salaries and social security benefits as contract soldiers until the completion of their mission.
