[Asia Economy Reporter Myunghwan Lee] Doosan Enerbility announced on the 23rd that it has signed a contract with Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) for the construction of the 536.46632 billion KRW Jafurah cogeneration power plant in Saudi Arabia.


The contract amount corresponds to 4.75% of last year's consolidated sales, and the contract period is from November 30 of this year to October 15, 2025.


After completion, the power plant will produce 320MW of electricity and 314 tons of steam per hour, supplying power and heat to the nearby Jafurah gas field.


Below are the major disclosures released during trading hours on the afternoon of the 23rd, including Doosan Enerbility's announcement.



▲Hanwha Solutions=Decided to spin off the retail business division through a simple and personal split. Following the split, the newly established company, Hanwha Galleria Co., Ltd. (tentative name), will operate the retail business division. The surviving company, Hanwha Solutions Co., Ltd., will continue chemical and renewable energy businesses.


▲Hyundai BNG Steel=Announced resumption of all crane handling operations after the Changwon cold rolling plant completed safety measures and received a work suspension lift notice from the Busan Regional Employment and Labor Office Changwon branch.


▲Ilseong Pharmaceutical=In response to the Korea Exchange's request for disclosure due to significant market fluctuations, announced that "there are currently no important matters under disclosure regulations that are ongoing or confirmed."


▲Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering=Announced that West Cobalt, the shipowner, has filed a counterclaim related to the drillship contract termination. The claim amount is 69.3 billion KRW, and the company plans to respond according to future arbitration procedures.



▲ToolGen=Relocated headquarters to Bio Innovation Park in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, to improve management environment and work efficiency.


▲Comipharm=Decided to acquire treasury shares worth 1 billion KRW to stabilize stock price and enhance shareholder value. The planned acquisition is 146,842 common shares, to be directly purchased on the KOSDAQ market.


▲Daewon Industry=Decided to provide a debt guarantee worth 11.1 billion KRW for affiliate Daewon Loose.


▲YOM=Decided on a paid-in capital increase totaling 18.2 billion KRW for facility funds, operating funds, and debt repayment. The method is a rights offering to shareholders followed by a general public offering of unsubscribed shares.
