[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Kim Tae-woo, Mayor of Gangseo-gu, Seoul, visited the Heo Jun Museum on the 22nd to inspect the overall facilities, including children's experience facilities and program operations.

This was to check the safety of the facilities and to see if there were any inconveniences for visitors as face-to-face programs, which had been suspended due to COVID-19, resumed after three years.

Upon arriving at the museum, Mayor Kim first visited the "Heo Jun Health Medical Class," where most of the students are seniors aged 65 and older.

Making eye contact and greeting the elderly individually, Mayor Kim said, "As we approach the era of 100 years of age, well-being, which emphasizes improving quality of life and living a healthy life, is becoming important," adding, "We will implement various policies so that the elderly can enjoy a healthy and happy old age."

He then headed to the children's experience room, where he participated in various programs such as acupoint experience and medicinal herb packaging with the visiting children.

He also thoroughly checked the museum's corners, including the special exhibition hall and the Heo Jun Memorial Room, paying close attention to resident convenience facilities and safety management.

Mayor Kim Tae-woo stated, "There should be no inconvenience for local residents using multi-use facilities," and added, "We will create an environment where socially vulnerable groups such as the disabled, elderly, and children can use the facilities comfortably."
