Geochang-gun Listens to Resident Companies and Corporate Difficulties

Providing Opportunities for Communication on Support Policies, Project Guidance, and On-site Difficulties

Geochang-gun Listens to Resident Companies and Corporate Difficulties Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held a meeting with resident companies to listen to corporate difficulties.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 21st, Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held a 'Meeting with Resident Entrepreneurs' to listen to the 2023 budget planning and difficulties at the Changpoweon Multipurpose Room, attended by 15 chairpersons of economic organizations including the Industrial and Agricultural Complex Resident Companies Council, Elevator Valley Companies Council, and Chamber of Commerce Council.

On this day, the attending entrepreneurs were informed about the support policies for small and medium-sized enterprises in Geochang-gun, financial support systems, corporate environment improvement projects, support for research and development of core elevator parts, and the smart elevator demonstration platform construction project, covering overall corporate management support systems, and their on-site difficulties were heard.

In particular, they requested cooperation from entrepreneurs regarding the project details of the 'Agricultural and Industrial Complex Hi-up Center' selected by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, preliminary discussions for selecting future operating entities, and the creation of an advanced general industrial complex.

The attending entrepreneurs unanimously agreed that the most difficult aspect of corporate management is finding young talent in a reality where employment difficulties and labor shortages coexist, and suggested that job support policies substitutable by the elderly population are also necessary, similar to youth support policies.

Shin Soon-hwa, Director of the Future Strategy Division, said, “We will review the proposed parts to be reflected in policies as much as possible and continue to create opportunities to frequently communicate with entrepreneurs who are the backbone of the local economy,” and added, “We ask entrepreneurs to also strive to overcome difficulties together.”
