F-35 Aircraft Maintenance Support Company 'HCT' Participates in Defense Industry Exhibition

[Asia Economy Yang Nak-gyu, Military Specialist Reporter] HCT, an industrial equipment testing and certification specialist company providing F-35 aircraft maintenance support services, participated in the 5th Korea Defense Industry Exhibition 2022 (DX KOREA 2022) held at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do.

According to HCT on the 22nd, the company, which spun off from the Quality Assurance Office of Hyundai Electronics Industry in 2000 to become an independent testing, certification, and calibration specialist company, possesses top-level domestic technology in communication, electromagnetic compatibility, and safety testing based on 5th generation mobile communication (5G).

In particular, since 2019, HCT has expanded its business area into the defense industry by cooperating with Lockheed Martin, the world's largest defense company, to provide F-35 fighter aircraft maintenance support services.

As an executing agency for the overseas certification acquisition voucher project for the defense industry announced by the Defense Technology Promotion Institute, HCT supports domestic defense companies' overseas expansion, and since early this year, it has been registered with the Defense Technology Quality Institute's Defense Tech-Fi Net. The company is also considering building a large-scale defense center in line with the growth of 'K-Defense.'

CEO Heo Bong-jae said, "Once the defense center is completed, it will be possible to simultaneously conduct defense EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) and defense reliability testing, providing a one-stop service that can quickly respond to various customer demands."
