Sacheon-si, Be Sure to Apply for Emergency Disaster Relief Fund by the 23rd

Sacheon-si, Be Sure to Apply for Emergency Disaster Relief Fund by the 23rd Sacheon City Hall, Gyeongnam.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sacheon City in Gyeongnam Province will close applications for the ‘Sacheon City Emergency Disaster Relief Fund,’ the first payment since COVID-19, on the 23rd.

According to the city on the 21st, as of September 19, just 20 days after the start of applications for the ‘Sacheon City Emergency Disaster Relief Fund,’ a total of 106,000 people have received 31.8 billion KRW. This corresponds to 97.1% of the 109,286 eligible recipients.

Accordingly, the city is encouraging those who have not yet applied for the emergency disaster relief fund to visit their local eup/myeon/dong administrative welfare centers based on their resident registration address as of July 31 to apply. If they do not apply by the 23rd, they will not be able to receive the support fund.

In particular, to encourage applications, the city is actively operating a ‘visiting application’ service and is conducting both online and offline promotions through SNS and promotional leaflets.

The Sacheon City Emergency Disaster Relief Fund can be used at credit card-affiliated small businesses within the city until November 31 of this year, and any unused balance within the period will be reclaimed.

The city plans to operate a separate objection period until the 30th to prepare relief measures for individual cases where uniform judgment on eligibility and payment of the disaster relief fund is difficult.

A city official said, “We will prepare various measures to ensure that not even one person misses out on receiving the support fund,” and added, “We will make sure there are no inconveniences for citizens regarding the payment of the support fund.”
