[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Comprehensive content company Ascendio announced on the 21st that it successfully concluded the first final round of the ‘2022 Supermodel Contest: The Grace’ (hereinafter The Grace).
Ascendio held ‘The Grace’ for the first time alongside the ‘2022 Supermodel Contest’ to continue the 29-year tradition of the supermodel competition and to find active senior models.
Through this, the best active senior models were selected to work not only in the fashion and entertainment industries but also in various other fields. Among the 23 participants who passed the preliminary round in August, after undergoing training during the remaining period, Baek Sujeong (age 51) won the grand prize in the final round.
Based on its extensive know-how, Ascendio plans to further expand its management business by supporting the active activities of the senior models selected through this competition. Additionally, various content centered on senior models will be produced and released through online and offline channels.
An Ascendio official said, “We are pleased that ‘The Grace,’ resumed after three years due to COVID-19, concluded with enthusiastic interest and response beyond expectations,” and added, “We will spare no effort in providing full support such as management so that the selected models can be active in various fields.” He continued, “We will also continue efforts to become a leading K-content company through continuous production of differentiated content.”
Meanwhile, the ‘2022 Supermodel Contest: The Grace,’ hosted by broadcaster Do Kyungwan and model-actor Lee Seonjin, will be broadcast on the 22nd through SBS, SBS FiL, SBS M, and K-star.
